Interface to collect, validate, organize, process, visualize, and report data following established greenhouse gas protocols, disclosure requirements, and reporting.
Ensure work product has the highest levels of quality, transparency, and clarity.
Engage with clients and deliver outstanding client care and professional oral and written communication.
Serve as a subject matter authority on carbon accounting, both within the CBRE team and externally with clients.
Work with other sustainability workstreams related to strategy and implementation such as decarbonization strategies, facility energy audits, overall sustainability and ESG strategy regulations and reporting frameworks, green leasing, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, circular economy, renewable energy, electric vehicles, investor ESG certifications (e.g., GRESB), among others.
Adapt role to evolving client needs and business opportunities related to sustainability.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field (e.g. such as sustainable business administration, engineering, consulting, accounting, design, construction, asset management). In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Knowledge and experience with greenhouse gas inventory protocols and processes or demonstrated ability to learn them quickly and independently.
Passion for supporting groundbreaking corporate sustainability strategy
Passion to function as a subject matter authority on carbon accounting and carbon disclosure regulations, both internally to CBRE and externally to clients, including continual learning and monitoring of evolving regulations.
Proficiency in MS Excel; working abilities with additional data analysis tools preferred
Exemplary communication skills, both oral and written
Strong quantitative analytical skills.
A work ethic centered around serving clients, driven by a desire to take action and consistently expand knowledge.
Willingness to work nimbly and independently in a fast-paced environment
Outstanding project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple projects concurrently.
Desire and ability to integrate carbon accounting (the primary focus of this role) with other CBRE initiatives, services, products, and research, into cohesive solutions that allow clients to advance their sustainability goals materially.

The minimum salary for the Sustainability Consulting Manager – GHG Accounting position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $125,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
