Local Business Hiring LDHH-Certified Wastewater and Water Operators
Job Description:
We are seeking LDHH-certified wastewater and water operators to join our team. As an operator, you will perform skilled work in the operation of a wastewater treatment plant. Responsibilities include ensuring the efficient operation of the plant, making routine adjustments to equipment and machinery, and exercising independent judgment in accordance with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, pumps, motors, grinders, and cleaning screens.
Collect wastewater samples and perform required tests to ensure system efficiency.
Conduct basic preventive maintenance and repairs on machinery.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, for emergency response.
Requirements:
LDHH certification for wastewater and water operations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in water/wastewater systems operation.
Working knowledge of machinery preventive maintenance and repair.
Valid Louisiana Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Plumbing, mechanical, or electrical experience preferred.
TWIC/OSHA, CDL license preferred but not required.
