Marine Engine manufacturing company located in Ponchatoula is growing and looking to hire a self-motivated individual for our warehouse management position. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all shipping, receiving, and picking operations, as well as supervision of the warehouse staff Accuracy, efficiency and strong attention to detail are high priorities in selecting the right candidate. The Warehouse Manager will maintain inventory integrity within our system by using software technology as well as traditional inventory management processes. This position will provide oversight of warehouse operations and will create and maintain measurable metrics. This position will provide safety training to staff and will be responsible for maintaining appropriate trainings and a safe work environment. Minimum of three years experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse environment required Fork Lift certification a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Strong computer skills Experience with shipping processes, forms, and working in a pick/pack operation Attention to detail and ability to work quickly and safely Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills necessary Ability to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds consistently Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and whole body movements, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, etc. The Warehouse Manager may potentially work in uncomfortably hot or cold environments, or on ladders Hours are Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm We offer 401K and benefits Salary based on experience
