The Production Control Clerk compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.Essential Responsibilities:
Compiles and records production data for industrial establishments to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production
May perform any combination of the following duties: compile and record production data from customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and individual worker production sheets following prescribed recording procedures and using different word processing techniques.
Calculates such factors as types and quantities of items produced, materials used, amount of scrap, frequency of defects, and worker and department production rates, using a computer, calculator, and/or spreadsheets.
Writing production reports based on data compiled, tabulated and computed, following prescribed formats
Maintaining files of documents used and prepared
Compiling detailed production sheets or work tickets for use by workers as guides
Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities
Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of materials and supplies charts production using chart, graph, or pegboard based on statistics compiled for reference by production and management personnel
Sorts and distributes work tickets or material
Order parts in the supply system and arrange local purchases
Input man hours daily for tracking hours on work order
Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of three (3) years of job related experience including basic computer operations skills are required
Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines
Must have knowledge for GCSS- Army and STAMIS
Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
Must have a valid and current state driver’s license.
Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle
Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required
Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment
Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets
Must possess basic computer skills
Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
May need the ability to obtain and maintain a government Common Access Card (CAC)
Position may require travel.
Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs with or without accommodation.
Must utilize all proper lifting procedures and practices.
Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Must be able to work at heights.
Must be able to climb in and out of vehicles of various sizes and heights
Must be able to work under pressure and strenuous conditions.
Must be able to meet short suspense dates.
Must be able to conduct work in the out-of-doors area with potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions (i.e. extreme temperatures, high humidity, rain and blowing dust).
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of stooping; climbing; standing; and sitting for long periods of uninterrupted time.
May require shift work.
May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty including nights, weekends, and holidays.
During the usual work period, the worker may be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable.
