Job Overview:
Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottage in Grand Isle, LA is seeking an experienced, live-in Resident Hotel Manager to lead the daily operations of our hotel. As the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining superior guest satisfaction and a positive work environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls, booking reservations, front desk, key management, guest inquiries, support and special requests.
- Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, property improvements, maintenance and security.
- Manage, train, and motivate hotel staff, including hiring, scheduling and conducting performance evaluations.
- Work with the marketing team to promote the hotel, increase occupancy, and generate revenue.
- Ensure all safety and regulatory standards are met, including health and safety protocols, permits, and licenses.
- Maintain appropriate supply inventory levels and vendor relationships.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, positive and energetic with leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Management experience (hospitality industry experience, a plus).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
