Accounts Payable Manager

Description Robert Half, in partnership with a well established Houma industrial services company, is in search of an Accounts Payable Manager. In this role, you will be managing the accounts payable processes, ensuring that all payments to vendors and suppliers are accurate and timely. Additionally, you will be tasked with overseeing the accounts payable team for a multi-divisional organization and will work in coordination with other departments within the organization. This direct hire opportunity offers competitive compensation range, full benefits package, upward growth potential and a very flexible, family friendly work environment.Responsibilities: Manage the process of vendor invoice and expense voucher payments, maintaining precise records and control reports Coordinate with the Treasury department to streamline the payment process and assist with financial forecasting Oversee the daily activities of the department, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within set deadlines Handle the monthly closing and posting of month-end financial information, ensuring the accuracy of the data Maintain historical financial records for future reference and audits Process monthly and quarterly sales tax returns in a timely manner Review and reconcile supplier statements, resolving any discrepancies promptly Work closely with project managers, purchasing, and operations staff to manage the approval process of all accounts payable invoices Assist with special projects as assigned by the management.Requirements Extensive knowledge of accounts payable procedures, purchasing processes, general accounting processes, and account coding to ensure the smooth running of the accounts payable department Strong organizational skills for managing invoices, payments, and resolving any discrepancies effectively Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal team members Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, to manage financial data and create reports Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payment discrepancies and other accounting issues Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance related to financial and accounting practices Degree in Accounting or Business and/or accreditation as a Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) a plus Minimum of 3 years of experience working in Accounting/Accounts PayableFor confidential consideration, please contact Hayley Euper at 504-383-0704 or apply today!
