Keystone Engineering is currently seeking an experienced E&I Designer to join our Lafayette Office team. Position Type: Full-time Location: Lafayette, LA Work Environment: Office/Sedentary Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required Essential Functions:

Understands drafting requirements for his/her discipline.

Adapts to Client Drafting Standards and Specifications which apply to his/her discipline for assigned project.

Understands the designs for any system within his/her discipline once design guidelines and system criteria have been established.

Responsible for the constructability, operability, and maintainability of the design within his/her discipline for assigned project.

Provides comprehensive, efficient, and cost-effective technical input into design related to his/her discipline for assigned project.

Responsible for the preparation of detailed design drawings within his/her discipline, in accordance with engineering design, required as project deliverables.

Provides continual guidance to drafters within his/her discipline for assigned projects.

Communicates and coordinates with Lead Designer for respective discipline to promote smooth, accurate, and scheduled completion of deliverables.

Maintains and keeps organizing a Job Data Book which contains all the pertinent information used during the design for his/her discipline for an assigned project.

Reviews drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project on a regular basis for completeness, overall quality, and adherence to standards.

Ensures all drawings within his/her discipline for assigned project have been properly checked and backchecked.

Prepares and/or directs the preparation of final drawing plots and copies for transmittal relative to all project deliverables.

Possesses awareness of project schedule and budget.

Assists with Project Audits when required.

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

5 years of E&I design in Auto CAD

Understands facilities drawings, cable routing, details, cable tray routing, cable schedules, motor starter schematics, I/O list, panel design, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Strong Written and verbal communication skills

Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate

Attention to detail.

Experience Preferred:

Associate degree in CAD

Previous O&G experience
