Job Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver

who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning,

implementing and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the

specialty of Critical Care nursing or a new grad that did rotations in or a

preceptorship in the Critical Care unit and thought, "Yes,

please!", this program is for you.Program Start - November 11, 2024Here's How the Process Works

This is a full-time, 12-week training program offering a mix of didactic

learning and clinical preceptorship.

You will be compensated fortraining hours and will be benefit-eligible.

The training program comes with a two-year commitment to Intermountain Health

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why

we require:

ASN / ADN from an accredited program with the ability to obtain your BSN

from an accredited program within four (4) years of hire unless you

possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered

Nurse experience in an acute care setting

Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a

Colorado RN license

Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association

Ability and willingness to work all shifts - days, mids, and/or nights -

dependent on departmental need

Ability and willingness to work under stressful conditions with a high volume

of patients

Ability and willingness to learn in classroom and online settings as well as

at the bedside in the clinical setting

Ability and willingness to commit to the 12-week training period uninterrupted

Ability and willingness to sign a commitment to two (2) years of full-time

work in the department hired

Highly Preferred:

At least one (1) year of RN experience, preferably in an acute care

environmentYour next move.

information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify

equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care

providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally

communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms,

needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency

situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex

and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent

computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed

information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and

utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to

retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items

of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and

assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing

supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable

equipment including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and

busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc).- and

-May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of
