Construction Billing Specialist

Description Robert Half is seeking an AIA Billing Specialist. This person will work onsite in our Northern Cincinnati client's office to assist with AIA billing documents and process. This role could include any of the following responsibilities:

Review contracts, agreements, and project documentation to understand billing requirements and milestones.

Generate accurate AIA billing documents (e.g., G702, G703) in compliance with contract terms and industry standards.

Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information and verify completed work for billing purposes.

Prepare and submit billing packages to clients in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to billing schedules and deadlines.

Maintain detailed records of billing activities, including invoice tracking, payment processing, and reconciliation.

Address billing discrepancies and resolve issues with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors as needed.

Stay updated on changes in AIA billing guidelines, industry regulations, and best practices.

Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting as required.

Provide support to the finance team on ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements - Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

Knowledgeable of ERP systems

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired

AIA Documents experience

AIA Billing experience

Excel Formulas experience

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
