This team member will supervise and actively participate in projects at our client locations throughout the southern states to include Plywood, OSB, MDF, sawmills, steel mills, pulp & paper mills, water treatment facilities, and many other industries. The successful candidate that joins our team will:
o Have excellent leadership skills.
o Install, assemble, dismantle, and relocate industrial machinery and equipment, such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, motors, and production lines, according to blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
o Work with the management team to complete the project within the given budget and time frame.
o Have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
o Have proven experience as an industrial millwright, with a keen understanding of mechanical systems, power transmission, and hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
o Be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, shop drawings, and technical manuals.
o Have extensive experience in rigging and staging.
o Possess the ability to fabricate, fit, and weld a variety of components (at times with limited information).
o Conduct troubleshooting activities to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
o Have working knowledge of concrete construction of slabs and machinery foundations.
o Be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures commonly used in industrial environments.
o Determine the techniques, equipment, rigging, and tools to be used when moving and installing a wide range of equipment.
o Communicate with our clients and management throughout the duration of projects to ensure their safe and on-time completion.
o Perform daily “toolbox meetings” as well as collect and report hours worked by CDS personnel.
o Have good physical stamina and manual dexterity, with the ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights.
o Be available to work day shift, swing shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays as our schedule dictates.
o Possess a valid driver’s license.
o Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
