This vacancy is located at SCLHSA's St. Mary Behavioral Health Center located in Morgan City, LA. The incumbent will provide advanced clinical services through individual, family and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients. Prepares person centered plans in consultation with the client and treatment team based on the recommended level of care.
Provides emergency services to clients needing crisis intervention for self or family.
Participates in case staffing with the treatment team and helps determine proper strategies for intervention and treatment.
Monitors clients’ urine screen collection for drug screening purposes.
Documents written reports to courts, probation officers, employees, schools, and case workers in regards to client’s treatment recommendations and progress in treatment.
Requests, reviews, and utilizes appropriate behavioral health, medical, etc. correspondence to ensure appropriate treatment interventions.
May provide consultation to other agencies such as schools, local hospitals and the coroner’s office.
10% Provides treatment recommendations on behalf of clients to judges, probation officers, other court officers, and primary care physicians.
Attends meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars for continuing education purposes and professional enhancement and development.
Performs any additional duties requested which are not listed in job description but relate to services provided by the clinic.
