Location: Madisonville, LA

Reports to: Owner

Type: Part-Time (Approximately 3-5+ Hours/Week)

Locally owned company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our small business. This role combines financial accuracy with general office support and light social media tasks, making it ideal for a well-rounded candidate who is proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to a growing business.

Duties

Job responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

Managing and reconciling balance accounts

Managing the company's financial accounts, budget, cash receipts, and financial assets

Making accounts payable and accounts receivable entries

Managing relationships with vendors, service providers, and ensuring items are invoiced and paid timely

Producing monthly financial reports

Reconciling bank statements

Managing inventory spreadsheets

Employing financial controls to mitigate risk

Preparing monthly sales tax returns

Maintain organized filing systems for financial, vendor, and customer records

Ensure business licenses & permits are up to date

Assist with preparing documents with scheduling, shipments, and warranty claims

Monitor comments/messages and route inquiries to the sales team

Help maintain customer contact lists for email and text marketing

Administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

The candidate must reside in the Madisonville or surrounding area

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, minimum 2 years experience in bookkeeping

Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Excel, GSuite Docs & Sheets

High attention to detail, with the ability to manage confidential information

Knowledge of basic social media tools (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) is helpful

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow

Preferred but not required: Bookkeeping certification or accounting background

Ability to work independently in office

Compensation

This is an hourly position with compensation based on the candidate's experience level, skills, and qualifications

This is an in-office position with some occasional remote work
