Overview:Slidell based professional services firm seeks an accounting assistant to perform reconciliation services and reconciliation reviews of escrow and trust accounts maintained by title agencies, attorneys, and law firms.Duties: Manage assigned agents contracted with firm to reconcile their escrow trust accounts Perform reconciliations in several industry related software applications Provide statutory and industry required accounting reports for each reconciliation Communicate significant exceptions to agents Provide preventative and corrective measures for exceptions detected in the reconciliations Requirements: Three years of bookkeeping and data entry experience Excellent math, analytical and problem-solving skills Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Keen attention to detail Strong organizational skills to maintain deadlines and process high volume Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment Proficient communication and customer service skills Experience: Associates degree in accounting or bookkeeping preferred Previous experience performing accounting tasks such as data entry and bank reconciliations Previous experience with real estate settlement software, Quicken or QuickBooks Comprehensive background check will be required of selected candidates in advance of personal interview.Please apply online with Generes at: https://generes.hiringthing.com/job/537935/real-estate-escrow-trust-account-reconciliation-assistant?s=cl
