Textiles Cleaning Specialist (Greater New Orleans)
Well established local service company seeking a full-time Textile Cleaning Technician.
We're looking for a genuine 'people' person. . . someone who enjoys communicating and helping others, sometimes on the phone, but primarily in-person. No prior experience is required. New employees receive on-site training.

learn to become a specialist in maintaining fine textiles and rugs.
Responsibilities include:
Pick-up and Delivery, various textile cleaning services (Mostly Rugs). Communication with customers on the phone and in person, regular and repeated lifting and loading of items into and out of the delivery/service van and customer's homes, tagging, photographing and documenting items, filling out paperwork, presenting different service options to customers, setting appointments with customers, resolving complaints, learning about our industry and our craft so that you can explain what we can and can't do for our customers, misc. other duties as needed. General duties associated with maintaining a service truck and rug cleaning plant.

Must have own transportation with a Clean driving record
Able to lift bulky items weighing up to 50 pounds
Occasional lifting of items heavier than 50 pounds
Must have a general knowledge of the local service area
Familiar with a computer, Tablet and/or iPad
Must consent to a background check
Must be fluent in English in writing and on the phone
Hours: Approximately 8:30 - 4:30 Monday through Friday.
Occasional weekend and evening work available.
Physical Requirements: A Textile Cleaning Technician will spend approximately 15% of the time sitting, 65% of the time standing or walking, 10% of the time stooping or kneeling, and 10% of the time carrying items. Some stair climbing included.
