Bacchanal Wine is looking for an opening lead to get the kitchen up and running with availability to work Thursday-Sunday.
About us:
Bacchanal is a wineshop, kitchen and bar with live music nestled in the Bywater neighborhood. We cook food that pairs with wine and we have a light hearted and dedicated work atmosphere.
Opening Lead Job Duties:
Point person for all food inquiries and issues while Chef is not in the kitchen
Maintain a clean and food safe environment
Provide shift recaps, notes on prep etc. via SLACK
Ensure food standards set by management/health code are upheld
Meet weekly with kitchen leadership team to set goals for the week/discuss departmental changes and needs
Ensure the proper preparation of menu items during service
Ensure all counts are correct and in computer at the opening of the day and shift change
Provide training to new staff members
Contribute to walk in organization and cleaning schedule
Ensure the timely preparation of shift meal
Receiving and ensuring invoices and product are accurate and properly stored
Delegate and execute the completion of the prep list in a timely manner
Work a variety of stations including expo, saute, grill, GM and cheese
Quality check and temperatures for all stations before opening
Open the kitchen daily
Maintain work environment that upholds our core values of respect, kindness, accountability, quality, community and fun
