Bearcat Baked is seeking a reliable and hardworking baker to join our team full-time in the Central Business District. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of baked goods, help to maintain a clean and organized work environment, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including measuring and mixing ingredients, viennoiserie, and baking
- Follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Ensure that all baked goods are of high quality and meet our standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and sweeping and mopping floors
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling orders
- Follow safety and sanitation procedures, including handling food in a safe and hygienic manner
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a bakery or food service preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic math skills and ability to follow recipes and measurements accurately
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
Compensation:
- $15/hr plus tips, with tips split hourly among staff
