Duties
Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems and cash registers.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets fine dining standards.
Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address any concerns or requests promptly.
Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash transactions as needed.
Stay knowledgeable about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
Requirements
Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
A passion for culinary arts and knowledge of food pairings is a plus.
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule.
