1000 Figs is a small restaurant in Faubourg St. John (Ponce de Leon and Esplanade Ave.) with a fresh, Middle Eastern-inspired menu. Our restaurant seeks to serve vibrant food in a warm yet casual environment. We are looking for a restaurant team that is passionate about local ingredients, is interested in working in a growing business, and is willing to work hard and bring new ideas to the table. We have tight-knit staff of 15.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to fill one part-time dishwashing position that may turn into a full time dishwashing position. The available shifts are: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays - 4:00pm - 10:30/11:30pm
Kitchen experience is preferred though not necessary. It is most important for us to find individuals who are hard working and who can maintain a kind and pleasant attitude during the work day. We are looking for someone who is willing to make a commitment to the job for at least 6 months.
Responsibilities include:
Washing dishes in compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintaining a clean and organized work space
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned including food preparation and cleaning
Attendance at quarterly staff meetings
Helping out other co-workers when necessary (running food, clearing tables, etc.)
Cleaning up after your shift
Compensation $8/hr wage.
Tips are pooled among the entire staff. Compensation with tips typically comes to $16/hr
