Conola Grill & Sushi in Old Metairie is looking to hire a Full Time or Part Time Line Cook (or Sushi Cook), with at least 2 years experience in a high volume kitchen. Experience needed on a Hot Line with the Grill, Fryer, Saute, and preparing Sandwiches & Burgers. You need to have reliable transportation to & from work and have Non-slip Kitchen Shoes.
We are a small crew here and all work together as a team to get the job done. There is a lot of opportunity to be creative with helping make the Specials and Soups. And if you don't know how to roll sushi, there is the opportunity to learn sushi if you have the desire and already have the hot line down. We like to cross-train staff when ever we get a chance.
We are open 5 days a week, Wednesday-Sunday for lunch from 11 am -2 pm and dinner from 4 pm-9 pm or Friday & Saturday is 4 pm to 10 pm. So you will always have Mondays and Tuesdays off! We are looking to hire a Line Cook that can work the Dinner/PM Shift and Sunday Brunch.
The right candidate is available to work weekends, some holidays (we do close down for most holidays), closing shifts, and some opening shifts.
