Hey Y'all,
We are a new sandwich shop/deli in town that serves Italian style subs in honor of the NYC/NJ area. One of our full timers is headed out of the industry so we are looking for someone to take her place 3-4 shifts a week, with weekend availability 100% mandatory.
The prep role is a combination prep and hot sandwich maker.
We work 4, 10 hours shifts a week.
The shifts will vary between 6-4, 7-5 & 8-6, and you must be able to work a mix of all of them.
Prep tasks include
-making chicken cutlets
-making bread
-making vinaigrette/aioli
-making deli salads
The prep crew is also responsible for hot sandwich pickups which include our chicken/meatball parms, philly style sandwiches, and sandwich specials and the shifts will include some small expo roles as well. The hot sandwich station can get very busy, so we need someone who can work well in a fast paced environment.
The prep team has lots of self governance and we are looking for crew members who are self motivated, can follow recipes/ lists, and are knowledgeable about cooking processes. The prep crew is fairly small in a tight area, so being able to work well with people is key. There is no tolerance for drama or FOH/BOH wars, so if that's the environment you thrive in, this won't be the job for you.
The pay is 18/hr + a small tip share.

Minimum of 4 years kitchen experience REQUIRED.
