Job Title: Restaurant Host/Hostess
(With service bar shifts for the right person)
Location: Cafe Fleur De Lis (301 Chartres)
Hours: Shifts available between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (must have availability during these times)
Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and energetic Host/Hostess to join our fast-paced breakfast restaurant!
As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for their dining experience, ensuring exceptional service from the moment they walk in.
This role requires multitasking, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and efficient manner
Manage the waitlist and reservations system
Assist guests with any questions about the menu and daily specials
Provide support to servers by taking drink orders and offering basic menu item knowledge
Be cross-trained on service areas to assist with running food and drinks when necessary.
Help with bar duties as needed during certain shifts
Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area
Ensure a smooth flow of guests into the dining room
Requirements:
Must be available for shifts between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM
Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with a positive attitude
A team player with a friendly, outgoing demeanor
Previous hosting or customer service experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge of restaurant operations and food/beverage service is a plus
Additional Information:
Opportunity for bar assisting shifts $6.50+ daily tips
$13 per hour for hosting shifts
