Showbird NOLA is seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee the back-of-house operations at our downtown location in anticipation of a busy season ahead. This position will be responsible for managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring high food quality standards, training kitchen staff, and maintaining an organized and efficient operation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with restaurant policies and food safety regulations.
- Oversee food inventory and manage ordering to control costs while minimizing waste.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and promptly address maintenance needs.
- Monitor food costs and labor expenses to stay within budget.
- Develop and maintain prep schedules and kitchen cleaning schedules.
- Collaborate with management on menu development and seasonal specials.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all team members.
