We are looking for a hard-working, motivated, and energetic FOH manager for our food truck and restaurant operations. We are looking for someone with customer service experience, strong leadership skills, an outgoing personality ideal for both customer and team interactions. This position will tag team with our existing BOH manager; the two roles will work closely together to co-manage the restaurant and food truck operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Paperwork:
Weekly FOH Schedules + Truck Schedule
Payroll & Sales Breakdown
Monthly P&Ls
Employee Management:
Team Dynamics: Resolving Conflicts + Team-Building
Control labor costs (cut people's hours when appropriate, ensure productivity/efficiency, etc)
Employee Food: Enforcing the ban on off-limits items except taste tests (steak, shrimp, glass bottle sodas, guac, avocados, dessert)
Hire and train new employees
Scheduling SNAFUs: helping to replace employee shifts when anyone calls in sick or no shows (as needed)
Cleanliness/Organization:
Make sure the BOH team abides by all health and safety standards
Make sure everything stays clean/organized
Make sure all counters are cleaned and sanitized frequently
FOH:
Greet customers
Take orders at the register
Ensure stellar customer service
Manage customer complaints (including comps when appropriate)
Take photos/videos for social media
Stay on top of checking voicemails each morning
Make sure all calls get answered (or when a call is missed they get a return call within 5 minutes)
Misc:
Coordinate annual permits for the restaurant and truck (May for health permits; January for all other permits)
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be able to read/speak English (Spanish, too, is a plus!)
-Must be reliable and on time
-Must have prior restaurant experience (restaurant, food truck, caterer, etc)
-Must be able to work on your feet all day
-Must be tidy and organized in your workspace
-Must be able to lift or carry 40+ lbs
-Louisiana Responsible Vendor certificate a plus
-Food Handler Certificate or ServSafe Food Manager Certificate a plus
-Clean Driving Record a plus
Compensation:
$40-50k annually depending on experience (paid bi-weekly through ADP)
5% profit share, paid out monthly (this is separate from the salary)
Hours:
45-55 hours/week. Hours may vary from week to week, but expect some daytime shifts and some evening shifts. This position will mostly include shifts at our Uptown restaurant location but may also include occasional shifts on our food truck.
