Job Summary:
Central City BBQ is seeking a reliable, hardworking Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team. The ideal candidate will support our kitchen by preparing ingredients and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in maintaining our high standards of quality, consistency, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:
Accurately measure, wash, chop, and store ingredients needed for menu items (e.g., vegetables, sides, sauces).
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves for easy accessibility.
Assist in basic cooking tasks such as portioning, assembling dishes, and cold food preparation.
Ensure prep station and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized at all times.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP) with consistency.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of coolers, prep areas, and dry storage.
Work closely with line cooks to anticipate prep needs throughout service.
Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries.
Complete daily prep lists and communicate any shortages to management.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred but not required.
Familiarity with basic kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
