The Elysian Bar, located in the historic Hotel Peter and Paul in the Marigny is looking for seasonal service staff to join our dynamic team. We pride ourselves on our warm and gracious hospitality and are looking for team members who have a strong desire to execute hospitality in an informed manner.
We welcome folks who want to learn more about food and service as well as those who are more seasoned hospitality folk. We offer wine, a full menu including brunch and dinner, coffee, aperitivo and craft cocktail selections. This position does require being able to retain information about our selections and being able to answer a base level of questions about taste profiles and preparation for guests.
Hospitality is at the heart of our work and we hope to find someone who has a genuine love of people and working in the service industry.
Operationally, we take a non-traditional approach. The entire house shares the tip pool in an effort to bridge the divide known as ‘front of house’ and ‘back of house’. This system lends itself well to opening up cross training opportunities as well as bringing the staff together in a more cohesive and equitable fashion.
All service positions start at the base rate of $12 p/h + equal share of the tip pool.
We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
