job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide assistance and care to individuals with developmental disabilities. The Support Worker will play a crucial role in supporting the daily needs and well-being of our clients.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assist with mobility, including transferring and lifting clients when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Engage clients in recreational activities and social interactions
Requirements:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Knowledge of patient care practices and procedures
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- Experience in caregiving, senior care, or nursing home settings is beneficial
- Basic first aid knowledge is a plus
