Small General Practice law firm seeks to hire a a couple of attorneys to assist with its litigation case load, help with discovery, make court appearances and otherwise assist with case management. This position is ideal for both newly licensed attorney or experienced attorney. The ideal candidate will be in at least one jurisdiction. Louisiana licensed candidates are preferred. Solo practitioners who desire to supplement their income can work on a contract basis and are welcome to apply as well.
Compensation is competitive and is based on experience. Compensation also is flexible. It may be salaried, hourly, flat fee or otherwise. The firm will consider each candidate needs and experience.
Choose your schedule: Full-time, Part-time (20 hours a week required) or PRN (as needed basis). Hourly rate: $25 to $50 per hour. Salary starts at $60,000.00 per annum for newly admitted attorneys and can be well into the six figures for the right candidate with skills. /hr (travel time included as hourly pay) paid at the end of each work week.
Minimum hours 20 hours per week, depends on candidate availability and the needs of the office.
Willing to train candidates without experience.
The successful candidate for this position ideally is a litigation attorney with at least one year of experience and this is willing to jump right in and help with a very active caseload, including making appearances in court. However, the firm is willing to train the strong candidates without the requisite experience.
Position may be full-time, part-time or contract based on experience. Would even consider an attorney willing to appear at general settings for a flat fee. Trial and court experience is valued but not everything.
Must be licensed attorney in Louisiana, Mississippi and/or Texas. Will consider any candidate licensed in at least one jurisdiction in the United States. May consider unlicensed candidates for document review and legal research.
