Warehouse/Inventory Coordinator

We currently have an opening in our Warehouse Facility, located in Harvey, LA. Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 7am-3:30pm. Full and Part Time positions available. Position and responsibility will vary depending on previous experience and the position being filled, but here are various responsibilities depending on position(s):
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Receives and distributes materials, supplies and equipment to and from the warehouse facility.
· Loads and unloads outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles.
·Picks products/merchandise from the warehouse and other locations, and arranges for them to be transported to other company facilities (New Orleans, Covington)
·Stages items in various aisles/sections of the warehouse
·Understands the concepts of bin locations, aisles and sections in a warehouse setting.
·Ability to follow instructions and take direction from leadership; hard-working, focused and very good problem-solving skills.
·Ability to perform physical inventory and cycle counts.
·Ability to inspect incoming materials against P.O./packing slips and examine for damage.
·Must be able to read/write and understand English.
·Must be able to use material handling equipment, including pallet jacks
·Forklift certification preferred.
·Familiar with using desktop computer and hand-held technology.
·Perform general warehouse/misc. tasks including cleaning, organizing, breaking down boxes, emptying trash, washing vehicles.
·Ability to Drive company vehicle/van to transport/pickup materials; Must have valid LA driver’s license
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Degree
1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, talk; listen; stand; walk; touch; type and reach with hands and arms as well as occasionally lift lanterns and products up to 50 pounds, climb up/down a ladder and work in a non-conditioned warehouse.
