Job Summary:
The BCaBA will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct support and guidance in the implementation of behavior analytic services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals achieve their goals through evidence-based techniques and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct behavioral assessments to identify clients' needs, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment results.
2. Implementation of Treatment Plans:
- Assist in implementing behavior analytic interventions and strategies as outlined in the BIPs.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, and community environments.
3. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior changes.
- Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
4. Training and Supervision:
- Train and support direct care staff and family members in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.
- Supervise and guide Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in delivering quality services.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, interventions, and relevant communications.
- Prepare reports on client progress and present findings to the supervising BCBA.
6. Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to promoting positive behavior change.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings to provide insights and recommendations based on behavior analysis.
7. Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Current BCaBA certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ethical standards and best practices in behavior analysis.
