Our photography gallery is located in the French Quarter. We also have various pop up locations throughout the city. This position will be at the gallery and our various outdoor pop up locations.
We are looking for a dedicated Gallery Sales Associate with three years of sales experience in a art gallery to join our team. If you have a deep understanding of the French Quarter and its surrounding areas, a passion for art, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain Excellence: Uphold the gallery's standards of excellence and ensure a top-notch guest experience by presenting a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
Collaboration: Work closely with the gallery owner and gallery director to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations, including delivery logistics, inventory receivables, and general administration.
Inventory Management: Execute basic administrative functions, such as organizing work areas, managing equipment and supplies, handling maintenance personnel, and addressing storage issues.
Merchandising: Carefully curate and merchandise the showroom floor, ensuring that all inventory tags are up-to-date and sold items are clearly identified.
Sales: Utilize hands-on experience with POS transactions, providing exceptional customer service tailored to meet customer needs within a friendly and stylish atmosphere.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Art History or related area is preferred.
Three years of sales experience in a contemporary art gallery is mandatory.
Extensive knowledge of the French Quarter and surrounding areas.
Retail showroom merchandising experience is a plus.
Understanding of best customer service practices.
Strong sales negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work within deadlines.
A professional dress and demeanor.
Ambitious, committed, detail-oriented, proactive, and driven.
