Project Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled gaffer with their own lighting equipment to join our independent film crew for a two-day shoot. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to contribute to a creative film in our vibrant city.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Director of Photography and other crew members to develop and execute lighting plans that enhance the visual storytelling.
Provide and set up your own lighting equipment, including lights, stands, and accessories.
Ensure the lighting setup aligns with the artistic vision and technical requirements of the project.
Operate and adjust lighting equipment during shoots to achieve the desired effects.
Troubleshoot any equipment issues promptly to ensure smooth production.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a gaffer or in a similar lighting role on film or video sets.
Own and provide a set of professional lighting equipment suitable for film production.
Strong understanding of lighting techniques, equipment, and industry best practices.
Ability to adapt to different lighting conditions and solve problems efficiently.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a creative team.
Local to New Orleans or willing to travel to the area.
Compensation:
NEGOTIABLE - Competitive daily rate based on experience and equipment provided.
