Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Steel Erector Crane Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, and position steel components during the construction and erection of steel structures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate various types of cranes to lift and place steel components as per project specifications.
Collaborate with the steel erection team to ensure proper placement and alignment of steel structures.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, riggers, and other team members.
Keep accurate records of crane operations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
Valid crane operator certification (NCCCO or equivalent).
Minimum of 3+ years of experience operating cranes in steel erection or related field.
Strong understanding of crane operation safety and best practices.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
