Morgan Electric, Inc is actively seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to be a vital part of our team.
Work encompasses various commercial settings in the New Orleans and surrounding areas as well as Mississippi and Alabama.
Must be able to perform the construction, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and systems. Should be well versed in conduit installation, motor control circuitry, switch gear maintenance and cable termination. Know how to read and interpret electrical prints and schematic drawings. Should be able to estimate costs and order materials.
General Requirements/Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's License & Reliable Transportation
- Be able to pass a drug test
- Have your own tools
- Working knowledge of tools, material, and equipment for commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and properly, climb, crawl, and bend
- Be able to work flexible hours and schedules
- Be able to travel to job sites located throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama
Electrician Requirements:
- Minimum of (4) years prior experience as an electrician or apprentice. This job posting is NOT for helpers or apprentices just getting into the business. If you apply, please have the minimum experience listed above. Please be prepared to supply references and/or verify prior employment experience.
- Cutting, bending, and running ½" to 4" electrical conduit.
- Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
- Ability to Pull and Terminate Cables
- Terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets and various electrical devices.
- Troubleshoot
- Good Communication Skills
- Read and understand plans & specs
- Read and understand one lines, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Proficient with the National Electric Code
- Ability to pass an aptitude/hands on test
