Position Overview:

We are a family-owned Pool Service and Construction Company looking for a detail-oriented Repair Manager responsible for the successful operations of our residential and commercial swimming pool maintenance/repair department. The Service Manager’s responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service, developing and maintaining lasting customer relationships and managing the service team members. The Service Manager must maintain a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company’s products and services. The Service Manager should also have a strong sales-minded attitude and excellent leadership skills. Essential

Job Functions

1. Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects and managing service team members to ensure the companies objectives are met.

2. Handling customer complaints or concerns quickly and professionally to maintain good customer relationships.

3. Troubleshooting, installation and repair of pool equipment including auto-controllers, pumps, motors, filters, gas and electric heaters, salt water/chlorine generators, controls and related equipment.

4. Repair and replacement of pool plumbing and valves, leak detection and repair.

5. Knowledge of plumbing hydraulics, repair or replacement of pumps, filters, timers, pool cleaners, pool lights, blowers, automated pool systems, chlorinators, backwash valves, PVC plumbing, repair suction problems, high/low pressure problems and pump priming problems.

6. Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws, ensuring the company’s adherence to these regulations, and remaining current on the industry’s standards and new innovations, materials, tools and processes.

7. Minor and major cosmetic repairs including but not limited to plaster, tile, coping and other masonry.

8. Ability to organize and modify pool maintenance schedules to achieve maximum efficiency.

9. Responsible for hiring, training and evaluation of service personnel.

10. Provide daily support for mechanics and service technicians in the field.

11. Work with customers to determine their needs, selling and scheduling jobs.

12. Work with accounting manager on all ordering of parts.

13. Conduct or delegate pool service quotes for potential residential and commercial pool service customers.

14. Manage fleet vehicle maintenance and repairs for all service vehicles.

15. Ensure mechanics and service techs are maintaining a good condition and the appropriate levels of chemical and equipment inventory on their vans and trucks.

16. Driving safely and responsible for maintaining and keeping company van in good working condition.

17. Responsible for wearing the required uniform and ensuring a professional appearance at all times.

18. Strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.

19. Ability to diagnose and give estimates for repairs and equipment.

20. Strong Technical knowledge of pool equipment.

21. Ability to work independently with little supervision.

22. Strong organizational and time management skills.

23. Willing to be part of a team and support each other.
