Lead and mentor a team of safety, security, and training professionals, setting departmental goals and providing management and direction to support business objectivesEnsure all site operations comply with Federal, State, Local, and OSHA standards as well as company Codes of Practice and Life Saving RulesFoster a collaborative environment between the safety group and operational teamsConduct regular safety audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), hazard inspections, and behavioral observations to identify and rectify risky conditionsEnsure the effective execution of critical occupational safety programs (e.g. Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and confined space entries, fall protection, etc)Emergency and Contingency Program planningPrepare and deliver site training materials and presentations as neededLead OSHA VPP Program and reportingLead and/or review root cause analysis for incidents/near misses, ensuring robust corrective actions to prevent recurrenceDevelop and implement Occupational Safety Policies and ProgramsMonitor workplace conditions and compliance with company and regulatory requirementsManage/support budget and financial cost centerReview and approval of safety elements of capital projectsEnsure health of site Safety CommitteesSupport Rewards and Recognition TeamLead/support site internal audit programPrepare and track safety KPIs and metrics
