Supplemental InformationThis position is located at theVinton Welcome Center in Vinton, LA.TheCustodian 3position is the lead worker for all custodial staff at the Welcome Center site. They are responsible for maintaining all Welcome Center buildings and the immediate grounds surrounding the site. This position is trained in the proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment. This position directly supervises and monitors the work of subordinate custodial positions to ensure that all safety and hygiene standards for the site are met. The position has continuous exposure to the public and often times must mitigate blood borne pathogen and other infectious waste. This position had high public visibility and failure to maintain all cleaning and sanitary standards has the potential to cause liability and embarrassment for both the Agency and the State of Louisiana.This position does not require a Civil Service Test Score to qualify.This position is in a Career Progression Group to a Custodian 3 . As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Custodian 1, 2, or 3 based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. NOT ALL POSSIBLE TASKS ARE INCLUDED.Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways, and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.Empties and decontaminates trash containers; may assist in disposing of infectious waste.Moves, rearranges, and dusts furniture and fixtures.
