The ideal candidate will be friendly, devoted, curious, and have a strong passion for food with a particular interest in baking and pastry. We are looking for individuals who are confident they will become an integral member of a team that values hard work and brings detail and care to every part of their work day.● Mix and bake ingredients to produce bread, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, or other baked goods.
● Perform any other duties as assigned.
● Assist Pastry Chef in expanding bread programs and offerings throughout the Mayflower.
● Assist Pastry Chef in launching a Grab & Go Pastries & Sweets program for guests of the Mayflower.
● Ensure proper storage of food items not used, following all proper standards for refrigeration and storage.
● Supervise, operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment.
● Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by local, state & federal Health Department regulations are
in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment.
● Monitor and maintain the use of safe food handling procedures as well as a safe working environment by
using correct food-handling skills and food safety guidelines.
● Maintain and supervise neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all time
