Outsourced Bookkeeping Solutions is a growing bookkeeping firm serving a diverse and dynamic range of clients. We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team and support the ongoing expansion of our practice.
This role is responsible for managing the core functions of our clients’ financial record keeping, including but not limited to:
- Recording financial transactions
- Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts
- Payroll processing
- Sales tax filing
- Accounts receivable & accounts payable
- Preparing monthly financial statements
- Reviewing financial statements for accuracy and completeness
This position will begin at approximately 24 hours per week (8 hours/day, Wednesday–Friday), with the opportunity to transition to full-time quickly for the right candidate with the appropriate skill set.
This is an on-site position at our Lewiston, Maine office. We are not able to accommodate remote or hybrid work arrangements at this time.
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Experienced with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Knowledgeable in bookkeeping, payroll, and basic accounting principles
- Highly detail-oriented
- Strong communicators
- Able to prioritize workflow and work independently
- Honest, professional, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
- Capable of reading and reviewing financial statements with accuracy
This is NOT an entry-level position; candidates must have previous hands-on experience. Preference will be given to candidates with an Accounting degree or equivalent professional background.
