Construction Project Manager - High-End Residential

Taylor-Made Builders is a high-end residential construction company providing fine quality homes, renovations, custom cabinetry, and architectural woodworking along the mid-coast Maine shoreline as well as on surrounding islands. We have been in the business for over 35 years and seek an accomplished, self motivated, highly organized individual to oversee our construction projects from start to finish. Responsibilities:

Verify the scope of work and thoroughly understand the bid and contract package.

Collaborate with the architect and construction crew to ensure the feasibility of each project.

Create bid packages for subcontractors and solicit quotes.

Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish, with attention to budgetary limitations.

Prepare and submit project estimates to clients.

Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.

Hire contractors and secure contracts.

Prepare project schedule and budget.

Maintain project specific contacts including vendors, subcontractors, clients and document project related communications.

Document and maintain meeting minutes, action items, and punch lists and assist coordination and execution of action items

Job site visits and assistance with job site management.

Purchase materials for project and complete take offs.

Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.

Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Skill/Education Requirements:

5+ years experience in building custom residences and/or commercial structures.

Ability to read blue prints, structural/architectural drawings, and full plan sets.

Advanced understanding of risk management policies and procedures.

Extensive experience managing budgets for large construction projects.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.

Competent with industry related software, preferably Sage 100 Contractor.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
