Sirloins Butcher Shop in Scarborough is hiring a Butcher / Butcher Apprentice.
No prior shop butchery experience required — we’ll train the right candidate.
Pay & Perks:
$20–$25/hr (depending on skills/experience)
$200 bonus for each holiday worked
Fully paid vacation Jan 1–7 (shop closed)
Christmas bonus + $100–$250 Amazon gift card
Steady 30–40 hours per week
Must be available Sat or Sun (or both)
Requirements:
Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods
Comfortable working in coolers/freezers
Must be dependable and willing to learn knife skills
Comfortable handling raw meat
Willing to learn safe use of equipment such as grinders and band saws
We’re looking for someone dependable, hands-on, and eager to learn a trade. Ideal backgrounds include kitchen, deli, warehouse, or trades. Long-term stability, steady hours, and the chance to learn traditional butchery.
Must be 18 or older (federal labor law requirement).
