Job Summary:
We are seeking a experienced Sandwich Maker to join our team in a high volume environment. All current staff have been with us for over a year, up to 15 years!
MUST BE AVAILABLE SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND MONDAYS
As a Sandwich Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling sandwiches according to customer preferences. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our sandwich shop.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, wraps, and other food items according to customer orders
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Follow established recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of customers
- Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, such as food preparation and cleaning
- Provide excellent customer service by taking accurate orders and addressing any customer concerns or special requests
Skills:
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils used in sandwich making
- Familiarity with retail math for handling cash transactions
- Basic culinary skills, including knife handling and food presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
