We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team, contributing to both our restaurant and commercial production kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of vegan dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. This includes both restaurant menu items and commercial production products.
Line Cook Duties: Efficiently manage line cook responsibilities during service times, ensuring timely and high-quality meal preparation and plating.
Commercial Production: Assist in the preparation and packaging of vegan products for commercial distribution, maintaining consistency and quality.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations. Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized and in good working order.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and improve current offerings, with a focus on innovative vegan cuisine.
Inventory Management: Monitor ingredient stock levels, assist in ordering supplies, and manage inventory to minimize waste while ensuring freshness and availability.
Qualifications
Experience: Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant setting is required. Experience in a vegan kitchen or commercial production is a plus.
Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills with a passion for vegan cuisine. Ability to follow recipes accurately and produce consistent, high-quality dishes.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
