Join Pentagöet Inn, a historic bed and breakfast nestled in Midcoast Maine, as a Help Desk Specialist dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will serve as the primary technical support resource, ensuring seamless operation of hotel amenities such as Wi-Fi, televisions, and online services. This role combines your technical expertise and outstanding customer service skills to support our guests in a picturesque setting overlooking Penobscot Bay.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing prompt and courteous support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hotel electronics, internet connectivity, and property management systems.
- Assist guests with the use of hotel technology, including online reservation platforms and room service tools.
- Maintain comprehensive records of guest interactions and technical interventions to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance technical support processes and improve overall guest satisfaction.
- Stay informed on the latest technology trends to recommend and implement improvements that enrich guest experiences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical support or customer service, preferably in hospitality or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities in fast-paced settings.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and property management systems (PMS) is a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and composure while addressing guest concerns.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings to meet guest needs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
