Job Description
KITCHEN MANAGER
169 Port Rd, Kennebunk
Full-time, part time, year-round
We are looking for a well-rounded individual with restaurant experience to operate and manage a small café in Kennebunk. The concept is a smoothie, juice and sandwich bar with healthy food choices, and will be adjacent to a fitness center. The Café will also serve beer, wine and kombucha cocktails. This individual should be comfortable working in a commercial kitchen, behind a traditional bar, pressing fresh juices and blending smoothies, and interacting with guests. The Café will also host events, large and small, catering to people engaged in an active, healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate should have some restaurant management experience. Duties will include but not be limited to:
Serving guests
Managing a small staff
Coordinating events with our events team
Making creative decisions regarding menu direction, new menu and beverage items
Reviewing P&L statements with senior management to ensure profitability
Programming and maintaining Point of Sale system
Ordering product â grocery, beer/wine, produce
Interacting with the community to help promote events
Compensation is BOE, will be hourly to start and move to a salaried position after year one.
