Waxwing Bakery is a new bakery in Windham that specializes in Sourdough Breads, Laminated Pastries and breakfast pastries. We happily serve Tandem Coffee and MEM teas.
We're now hiring for a part time Counter Server on Friday and Saturday. Shifts start at 6:30 and go until 3:00. We're looking for somebody who has excellent customer service skills, an ability to stay calm, organized and hospitable during busy morning rushes. Prior barista experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right candidate. This is a new position for us, and we're looking for someone who can grow with the business. There are opportunities for more hours and a full time position as we approach the summer months.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting guests in their orders, both dine in and to go
- Making coffee & tea drinks
- Maintaining Counter & Dining Room Cleanliness
- Assisting with light prep and dishes
- Having an intimate knowledge of our offerings
Job Requirements:
- Available Friday and Saturday
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Prior Bakery, Cafe, or Restaurant Experience
- Eligible to work in the State of Maine
