We are looking for a compassionate caregiver for the care of my mother, a 60 year old quadriplegic, (due to an accident in May 2012). The ideal hours would be from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm or 10:30-4 pm and compensation is $70/day., (around 3-5 shifts per week depending on what works for you). During this time caregiver would is responsible for stretching, bed bath, catheter care, dressing, transfer to wheelchair, administering medications, (already organized), feeding lunch and some light housework/organizing of living space. We have Roku, so you can usually put something interesting on to watch in the background :) However, the work is somewhat physical, (stretching, rolling, positioning) and we want to be upfront about that. We can train the right person on everything, but at this stage in her care, we are really hoping to find somebody who is already an experienced caregiver, PSS, nursing assistant or nurse.
