The Back Cove Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced veterinary technician to join our brand new, locally owned, veterinary hospital in Portland. We are a paper-less practice equipped with digital radiology (including a designated dental suite), ultrasound, full in-house laboratory, and dedicated cat waiting, exam and treatment areas. We are seeking a full-time veterinary technician with experience with the following: maintaining timely appointment flow, anesthesia induction, monitoring and care, hospitalized patient care, assisting with surgical and dental procedures (preferably experience with dental radiology), and performing general radiography. Applicants must have a positive attitude, excellent communication and multi-tasking skills and computer proficiency. The ideal applicant is LVT or CVT licensed. Applicants should expect to be available to work 1-2 half-Saturdays per month.
