Community Spay-Neuter Clinic is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant for a 3 day per week position (Monday-Wednesday) of 10 hour days in Topsham. The ideal applicant is a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic. We like to work hard and go home on time. NO ON-CALL OR WEEKEND DUTIES Hours are Monday-Wednesday, 7:00 am-5:00 pm, for full-time status at 30 hours with a generous benefits package.
One year of experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter is required.
Experience with handling and medicating dogs and/or cats is desired, but not a requirement. We provide training. This position is responsible for daily care of all surgical patients, assisting doctors and veterinary assistants with pre-, peri- and post-operative care of patients. Candidate should be a motivated self-starter with a professional attitude and possess good communication skills. Part of our benefits package includes pay for education.
Pay is competitive with general practices in the area.
