Job Description:
As a Delivery Driver at East Coast Flooring, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of hard surface flooring materials to our valued customers, as well as assisting with warehouse operations. Your attention to detail, customer service skills, and commitment to efficiency will contribute to our company's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities:
Safely load, transport, and unload hard surface flooring materials, including tiles, planks, and other related products, using company-provided vehicles.
Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency while ensuring on-time deliveries.
Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery times and any specific instructions.
Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials at the warehouse, ensuring accuracy in inventory counts and proper storage.
Organize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring a neat and efficient layout for easy access to products.
Collaborate with warehouse staff to fulfill orders, restock inventory, and ensure product availability.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, and maintain a clean driving record.
Handle delivery paperwork accurately and ensure all required documentation is completed.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns during the delivery process.
Work closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in delivery driving and warehouse operations preferred.
Familiarity with flooring materials is a plus.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, sometimes with the assistance of equipment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
Time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Flexibility in working hours, as some early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required.
