GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities include boat bottom preparation such as sanding and scraping, application of antifouling paint systems, buffing, compounding, and waxing topsides and decks, as well as general boat detailing. The position also involves assisting with building masts, moving, launching, and hauling boats, along with general facility maintenance, including snow removal in the winter, painting, and light carpentry.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a courteous and helpful relationship with customers and members.
Complete time cards in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
Assist other departments when necessary; perform related duties as assigned or dictated by supervisor(s).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to conduct quality assessment checks and evaluate recorded performance.
Skilled at coaching new employees and training them in repair duties.
Positive attitude, able to work in a fast-paced environment, with good communication skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Work in a wide variety of environments, conditions, and situations, including:
o Small and/or confined spaces.
o At heights of 20 feet or more.
o Routinely bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching for 1-12 hours per day.
o Sitting, standing, and/or walking for 1-12 hours per day.
o Enduring noise, fumes, dust, and inclement weather.
o Must be able to lift and carry 1-50 lbs. throughout the day.
o Ability to work outside year-round.
Must be able to safely wear a respirator when needed.
Additional Qualifications Preferred:
Ability to utilize laptop computers and portable diagnostic tools.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
Any marine-related tech skills, boat handling, and other areas of expertise.
